Blending world influences with traditional American fare, Moderne Barn showcases Chef Ethan’s creativity and international background while maintaining the casual character of American cuisine. Growing up in Israel and traveling extensively throughout the Middle East and Europe have allowed Chef Ethan to cultivate a strong feel for the soul of Mediterranean cooking and a love of global flavors.

He incorporates this learning into his cooking at every opportunity, constantly seeking to innovate and create unique flavor combinations. This is balanced with an appreciation for local, hand-picked ingredients, which is in-line with his well-loved mantra: “Simple, seasonal food is delicious food.”

Following Chef Ethan’s philosophy, Moderne Barn sources meat, fish and produce from the surrounding region whenever possible, emphasizing care and integrity in the ingredients used on every plate.
